Lead Instructor Sea Kayaking Program

Anula Jochym is a BCAB Sea Kayak Coach, Advanced Sea Kayak Leader, and Provider working full-time in the adventure guiding industry. Based in Iceland, she operates seasonally, spending summers guiding in the Arctic before transitioning to expedition boats in the Southern Hemisphere. Her extensive portfolio spans multiple continents, including Iceland, Poland, Great Britain, Ireland, United States, Mexico, Faroe Islands, Greenland, the Subantarctic, and Antarctica.

With specialized expertise in risk and incident management for paddlesports and a university degree in Theory of Education, Anula combines technical proficiency with educational theory. Her paddling journey began at age six, eventually leading to sea kayaking where she developed a passion for self-supported expeditions and technical skill development.

At ECAT, Anula serves as head of the sea kayak program and instructor, bringing her global expedition experience and systematic risk management approach to develop the technical and leadership capabilities needed for successful careers in marine adventure tourism.
