Lydia Marmont is an ACMG/IFMGA Mountain Guide now based in Switzerland after spending many years in Revelstoke, BC, with over 15 years of experience exploring mountain ranges across five continents. Her professional journey spans diverse mountain disciplines, including ski and climbing guiding, professional mountain rescue, avalanche control, and mountain safety consulting for research and industry projects. Originally from New Zealand, Lydia has developed extensive expertise throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia, bringing a truly global perspective to mountain guiding.

Her comprehensive knowledge of mountain environments is complemented by her membership in the Canadian Avalanche Association. At ECAT, Lydia serves as an instructor, sharing her international guiding perspective and technical expertise to help develop the next generation of mountain professionals.
